I need some advice please.....
I am on the 1st letter from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd (from Civil Enforcement Ltd - I'm in Scotland).
I think according to the ppc letter chains I should be due another 4 letters. I am doing as advised here and ignorning but has anyone actually gone past the last letter in the ppc letter chains? Does it ever get to court? I've read through the forums (I really do apologise if this has already been posted and I've totally been blonde and not see it!) but I cannot seem to see anywhere what happens after the last letter?
Do they debt recovery plus ltd people just slither off or should I expect being taken to court?
Has anyone actually been taken to court after ignoring all the letters?
thanks for any help!

Last year there were 1.8million invoices given out, 800ish court papers given out, 49 went to court, 24 won by ppc,(expect most were default for no turn up-sent to wrong adress??accidently???) 25 won by driver, most of which came here, pepipoo and CAG. Since recent court rulings this number is expected to drop considerably.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Stop worrying - the chances of your being taken to court are several tens of thousand to one. This is all detailed many times here on the forum.
After the last letter they just give-up and move on to some other mug. So stop taking these jokers seriously and sit it out.0 -

thanks for taking the time to reply - especially with all your facts and figures, makes very interesting reading!. Think I'll stop worrying about it again. I had put it to the back of my head until another letter appeared. They do psychologically work as you do end up thinking, maybe I'm better off paying just to get them off my back but I supposse that's what they are designed to do!
thanks again!0 -

Yes, thats why they try to scare you, to make you pay. But why be scared of empty threats? Pleeeaaaaase do not pay them. Why give scammers your hard-earned money???????Got a ticket from ParkingEye? Seek advice by clicking here: Private Parking forum on MoneySavingExpert.:j0 -
From the FOI requests, there were 49 court cases in 2011. Anyone know how many so far 2012? Has any PPC won a defended case post VCS v HMRC? I bet the odds now of losing in court to a PPC is a mllion to one.0

I haven't heard of anyone losing a defended case since vcs v hmrc , there is the occasional case that crops up but it appears they are either dropped, are ppc trolls or are defended successfully. That is it reallyExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
