How do i turn off airplane mode on my Huawei Ascend Y201 phone?

I couldn't afford a Huawei Ascend G300 so I got (yesterday) the Y201 for £60 (I have a Tesco sim). I also didn't want to be locked to Vodafone or have to pay to have the phone unlocked (OK!).

The phone's OK but somehow I couldn't receive or make calls. When trying to make a call I got the message 'turn airplane mode off to make a call'. How did this even get turned on? I wondered!!!! I search google and Ask.com but didn't get any answers. I finally found it under:

Settings > Wireless & networks > Airplane mode

Voila:T. So, there you have it folks.:T Easy once you know how:rotfl:.

This thread is purely for info - for anyone not techie (like me) and this is your first smartphone (again like me).

On a side note. I tested the phones 'take video' mode and took a 3 sec video of some rubbish. For the life of me I didn't know how to delete the video from the Gallery. I told my 10 year old son and he showed me how to do it:rotfl:.

I did actually read the info sent with the phone:p but that question wasn't covered.:j (Yep, I'm a girl:rotfl:and proud of it:T)

You could also have held the power button for a few seconds and picked it from the resulting menu.
