what about Turkey sausage and stuffing wrapped in bacon? you could serve in a finger roll (hot dog style)?
and for the veggies - stilton and cranberry tartlets?
you just get some filo pastry cut into about 3inch squares and use two or three to line a bun tin and put in a bit of crumbled stilton and a half teaspoon of cranberry sauce - bake for about 12 - 15 mins til golden and cheese a bit melted. delish.
  • Thank you so much, everyone. Sorry I haven't thanked anyone or replied because of a busy weekend, but I'm overwhelmed by all the suggestions. I really need to take another look and have a good think about it, but if I can't find something suitable among all these ideas, I'll eat my hat! (I could always casserole it and serve it to my guests ...)

There really are lots of very helpful and imaginative people on the OS board.:T
