Removing BT Vision Hardware

We have recently ended our contract with BT Vision and no longer require their hardware to be connected to the TV or the BT Home Hub. I have removed the BT Vision Box and Plugs but still have the white router box which is conected to the phone socket. The Home Hub is connected to the white box which I'm assuming is only required for BT Vision.
The phone socket connection for the white box is different than the the one we need for the home hub cable so do I have to keep this white receiver box or is there some way of removing the socket and replacing it with one that will be compatible with the internet cable?
Thanks for any advice.

Is this what you mean by the white box? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

OP, that's not a white box, it's an ADSL filter, one of which is required on every active extension in the house if you have ADSL broadband. Nothing to do with BT Vision. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

OP calls it a white router box??
BTW: Box; A container typically constructed with four sides perpendicular to the base and often having a lid or cover.:DThat gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I know, but I think you are on the right lines with your pic.
A lot of people I know call a tower PC box a 'hard drive'...No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Indeed thats what my ex calls them! OP Billy will be able to tell us when they return! That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Might of been an idea to tell us you have BT Infinity. The picture is of an Openreach VDSL modem.

You should only need to remove the BT Vision box, and cables associated with it, and the powerline ethernet adapters if you were using them.
Assuming you're still using BT broadband, then everything else stays the same.
A white thing between the phone socket and the Home Hub is either:
1. A microfilter if you are on ADSL broadband, or
2. An Openreach modem if you are on Infinity.
Either way, you still need it.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
