Nope, she was at the one in front, although why this should make a difference I don't know. Is it ok now to drive recklessly if another driver has made you angry?

The staff in the garage had time to notice the car drive towards her and comment that 'she's going to hit that car'. Her door had been opened for a few seconds before the collision.

At last correct information given as to the REAL CAUSE 'she's going to hit that car' enough said......next :rotfl:
  • OP's friend was lucky she hadn't got herself between her door and the other car prior to impact. I used to know someone whose wife died after being crushed in just such a manner.
  • Why did you 'op'leave this very important information out in your original post .. ? I don't understand ..,
Is your friend really 'you' or is their more to this story than u are telling us all here?

When I first spoke to my friend it was immediately after the incident. It was only later she went back to the garage and spoke to the staff.

People are very suspicious these days.
  • No , don't blame peoples suspicions based on what u said and left out . Your original question and query was addressing the insurance out come of the incident . Later on , you revealed more facts . Anyway , has your friend informed the police ?

Why inform the police for a damage only?

    Okay.

    Taken From op post .

(Is it ok now to drive recklessly if another drive has made you angry?)

Sounds like some sort of altercation took place between the parties . Where it appears the other driver deliberately hit her car in anger . If that's the case , it should be a police matter .

    Again op post .

(The staff in the garage had time to notice the car drive towards her and comment that she's going to hit the car)

Based on this , I suggested op inform police .

The girl who lives next door was in asda car park opened door same time as car next to her they was told 50/50.

Well yes, that would go 50/50 as both people were at fault - they did the same thing.

This is entirely different, and not really relevant. The other car was moving.

You're reading too much into it. This ain't a police matter.

It was indeed reported to the police and there was no altercation, you really are reading to much in to this.

Thank you to everyone for your replies.
