so, if i bought £400 dollars... how much would i repay in total and would this loose me my 11month 0%?

You would not lose your 11 months 0% on your purchases/bt. However on my agreement you would get charged 22.95% + handling fee of 2.5% on the £400 cash withdrawal and you would not be able to pay this off until you had cleared everything else on your card.

    So £10 + roughly £90. ie £100.

You will not find any credit cards that offer 0% on foreign currency as they all class it as a cash advance and that is never 0%.

Dont M&S allow you to buy currency as a purchase on their card, as a purchase rather than cash advance?

Yes, any purchases of goods will be interest free. Balance transfers, cash advances and credit card cheques will not be interest free.

Halifax will apply their 2.5% foreign exchange transaction 'fee' if billed in anything other than sterling. But otherwise it'll still be treated as a purchase. Obtaining physical us$ either via an ATM or a exchange will be treated as a cash advance.

Look at nationwide or post office for a card without this fee - but without an intro 0% period(well 3 months on purchases only...)
