I have just started a Three contract and when I asked to port my payg sim number, they said yes providing it isn't Three. (It wasn't, so its currently porting).

I'd double check first before attempting it with Three.

you can only go from contract to payg with the same provider not payg to contract.
you'll have to request a PAC and transfer to another network (payg) and transfer back to your new three contract.

    Ok, Thanks.

So if I port to another PAYG provider, how long will it take to get on the PAYG sim and then have a PAC ready to go onto a new contract (almost dertainly Three)?

Would different PAYG providers have shorter turnover(?) times?

How much would this cost on the PAYG side?

    Thanks

I'm on a Three contract at the moment (out of contract), so could I port to Three PAYG and then back onto a new Three contract keeping my number and allowing me to go through Quidco for the new contract?

Phone up and cancel your contract (30 days notice, or request PAC code) - read the threads on here about Three retentions - if you hold your nerve they can offer excellent deals (and no cashback claiming required).

Hi Anon. My contract is from the last 6680 which ended in February, I think you were on the same.

Is this what you did and what did they offer you?

I've already asked for my PAC but as I was interested in an O2 deal at the time I was really interested in the offers they made. One was for 250 mins at around £60 for the year although I did'nt think this was enough for my heavier months. It was a great deal but I preferd more minutes hence going for 400 on O2 but when I went to order the stock had ran out!

I may phone Three today to see what they'll offer although I don't know whether my bargaining power has now decreased due to geting the PAC.

    Thanks
