Downloading and paying for individual ring tones
Options
I want to buy a new ring tone for my phone, and pay for it as a one off. I do not want a sub to a ringtone service? Any suggestions?
My OH wants to set up different ring tones for different friends. He cannot use the app shop from his phone as there is some technical issue which means it needs a factory reset first and he does not want to do this and lose data. Can he also buy and use separate ring tones for friends and pay for them separately.
He does not want a ring tone subscription service either.
We both have android phones with Orange.

1. Go to YouTube for a tune that you like.
2. Play it and use the phone's record facility
3. Set that tune as your ring tone.
or
Try the app called Zedge that has hundreds of free ring tones. It is NOT a subscription service.0 -
The last time I paid for a ringtone was in 1999. It was "the A team" cost £1.50 and crrappp LOL0

You can quite easily create your own ringtones using itunes.
So long as you have a copy of the tune you want to use on itunes, it is just a case of changing the file type.
Google "creating ringtones using itunes"
There is a couple easy step by step instructions out there0 -

+1. If you can't find a free ringtone that suits your needs on Zedge you must be very demanding0 -
Just use a service such as this: http://www.video2mp3.net
You give it a Youtube URL - it pops you back an mp3 file

Want to "Buy" a ringtone? Those days are long gone...
Remember the days well when it was £3.50 per ringtone for someone else singing a well-known song0 -
Shocked anyone would think of such a thing. PAY... PAY...
Please punish yourself and repeat 100 times.....
I will not waste money on stupid annoying ringtones.
Plenty of FREE MP3's out there. Or as suggested record it off another source. No PC get someone that has one. Or get someone with a phone to play in on theirs whilst you record it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
