    Hi every one, littleoldman here,
thank you all for the advice with my query. I don`t feel that I`ve wronged anyone using the disabled bay, I was just trying to make life a little easier for my partner. I suppose what is lacking in todays world is a little common sense and give and take.
If Ecxel Parking Services Limited cannot be bothered to ensure the signage has no printing errors then thay aren`t very professional about their business. I think I`ve read somewhere on the forum that the DVLA no longer supply them with driver details. A good thing too.
If I get any letters from Excel I`ll let you all know the outcome.
    Thank you all again.

You are right, Excel are banned from getting data at the moment so you won't get any letters.

However you did nothing wrong because your wife WAS protected by the Equality Act and could legitimately expect to use a disabled bay. A knee replacement is a big operation having long term effects added on to the pain she must have been in for months leading up to the op. A person IS considered disabled under the Equality Act of they have a long term condition affecting daily living. And in her case it's specifically a mobility issue to certainly she is justified to use this bay.

I do hope you actually got your new fridge already as Comet just went under didn't they?!

    :)

  • Yes I did my get new fridge and it was a bargain.
These big parking companies must be the biggest con merchants in the country. But we all know that the British motorists are seen as a bottomless cash pit not just to them but the government and insurance services alike. I`ve held a licence and driven buses and coaches for 45 years and this is the first time I`ve ever fallen foul of carparking tricks. I`ve never had points for speeding or been taken to court for anything. You young`uns need your wits about you these days and I admire your stance against all that is unfair and wrong in this world. Bring on the revolution!!
