If I take out with bt the contract were you receive a free youview box,
When the contract comes to its end after 18 months would the freeview box still work with normal tv the pause recording ect ect or would you have to stay with bt for it to work

Yes it would still work as the majority of the content is Freeview, and the catch up service is also free. There is no conditional access to the record and playbck of programmes.
You could just go rouge and buy your YouView box outright and you won't be tied to BT.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
this is true but then there is an initial outlay of about £250 which will pay for bt services for a year more or less,which i just have not got at the moment unfortunately,i mint just wait,im sure there will be a cheaper youview box on its way and to be honest if i have all the on-demand content i dont really need a recorder0
