Hi all! I am literally in the middle of making a claim through moneyclaim and I am stuck on particulars of claim.. I copied a template of what to put from here and it goes over the limit of characters... i don't know what to do ... have i not done it right?

It's probably the number of lines, not the number of characters that has been exceeded. Make sure there is no additional whitespace at the beginning or end of the text and remove spaces before and after punctuation.
  • thanks! I will try that now and see if it helps!!! will let you know!
    thanks again!

It still won't let me do it, even though i am below the max amount of characters.. the amount of lines is over 24 though which is the maximum, and i can't do anything else to make it less now... i can't think what i should leave out, as it all must be important to include surely?? I don't know what to doooo! *sob*

In Martins Article step 5. There is a download that contains particulars of claim you can use. Try using this version.

  • hi all,

I am just filling out the claim form on money claim, it is all very daunting I am terrified of getting it wrong!

I have put the total amount in the total box including interest then answered the question about claiming interest as yes, do i deduct the interest from the amount i have entered? (if that makes sense!)

and please help with the particulars of claim section... so far I have just put...

"Since the charges imposed are disproportionate to the costs incurred by the bank - such charges are penalties under common law - Penalties are illegal

Since the charges were in excess of the amount incurred this is contrary to the provisions of the Unfair terms in Consumer Contract Regulations 1999.

The charges are also contrary to the provisions of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977"

I haven't put anything else...please help i need my hand holding....
  • p.s. does or will your claim include any issues under the Human Rights Act 1998
