Personal Injury claim

On Monday i was hit from behind by another vehicle whilst i was stationary in traffic...hit at about 30mph and the other vehicle didn't even brake, just plowed into me.
I had to have the roof cut off my vehicle and was removed on a spinal board due to neck/back pain.
Taken to hospital where i was examined and discharged with "whiplash" within 30 minutes of arriving.

I am still in some pain, having trouble sleeping properly due to the discomfort.

I am still managing to go to work, but am in fairly constant low level pain, which gets worse if not managed by pain killers.
Can't really work at my computer for too long as it is uncomfortable due to my neck/shoulder.

I have contents insurance with Swintons, with "Home Legal Protection"....is this likely to cover me to claim for my injury?

If not, are there any recommended firms to use?

You need a specialist injury claim solicitor.

Google cashback injury lawyers to find firms who will pay you £100s to give them your business on top of any compensation they win you.

If you are in pain, why are you not seeking medical advice? Money won't stop your pain ...

Because i have already had medical advice. From the A&E Consultant who saw me on Monday.

Told me to expect it to be sore and painful for anything up to a week or more, so i don't really have any concerns over my symptoms at this point.

If i am still suffering in a few days, or it gets worse, i will seek the appropriate help.

I have had a steady stream of friends and work colleagues telling me that i should claim since it happened, so i thought i would find out more about it.

I realise that these sort of claims aren't popular, but does that mean that i am any less entitled to claim?

Seriously hope you are not suggesting i am a troll?

I always thought this place was a sensible area to turn to for advice...and you can see from my history i am not a troll!

How sad that people have become so jaded that a genuine request for some advice is met with scorn and derision simply because of the type of help requested.

    You seem a bit touchy!

I already gave you sound advice.

(As well as the advice to starve that troll)

Ok well I just picked one and I claimed. My claim was quick and easy, however I found that the firm I used just wanted to settle quickly and I think that I got a low (ish) offer and they advised me to accept (which was part of terms and conditions) because if I did not and were to loose I could be liable for costs, I didn't have to be cut out and was in pain for a day or so, I received £1300. HTH

P.s. Cashback idea seems great, if only I'd known, I have heard about the free 1K and ipads, but be careful that some don't pay you upfront and deduct from the claim. I used a company called YourLawyers for something else (ongoing) slow isn't the word! beware

How much do you think you should have been compensated for one day's pain?

You have unneccesarily and unfairly selectively quoted the OP.

The OP has given far more detail than he needed to when coming for advice on how to get compensation after being the innocent victim of a careless and negligent driver. Some people don't survive 30 mph collisions!

    Quentin, look again.

I didn't quote the OP, unless they're running AEs
