What on earth are Tesco playing at?

Today me and my wife went shopping in Tesco. We parked the car in a normal space and proceeded into the store.
We were not accosted by a security guard and were not thrown to the ground on the way in! On the way round the store the staff were courteous and helpful and at no point were we accused of shoplifting.
The shelf edge labels were easy to read and we snaffled a few bargains, including a nice half price Bordeaux. A nice surprise were the "taste and try before you buy" offerings on the deli counter being a small selection of cheeses with mini Melba toasts.
When we paid for the shopping, using some clubcard vouchers, we even had an itemised bill at no extra cost.
On the way out I couldn't find the battery recycling bin and the lady in customer services offered to recycle the batteries for me.
I somehow feel cheated!

I don't know what I would do if I didn't get my regular rough-up and pat-down from Tesco security, not to mention the verbal abuse from customer services!
I used to have to go to some of the seedier parts of london for that sort of treatment, but they charge extra.
I thought Tesco were supposed to offer good value for money? I'm going there right now, and I expect them to give me a piece of their mind (and perhaps a few bruises, too).0 -
Did you have a magnet in your pocket?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
