Thanks for the alternative couriers people. I don't ship much as I tend to buy stuff and therfore just use Parcelforce for convenience even though I know they are not the cheapest.
They would effectively only be getting 2 tiles back that would not be resellable as I only took the plastic backing off 2 to test. However having put the backing back on them and dropped the package on the floor carrying it back into my flat I am hard pushed to work out which two it was!
I will see how they respond to my email that I just sent referring them to the OFT guidelines and that perhaps as a business with 22 years experience they really should understand what their obligations are.
Depending on their reply I will make a call as to whether or not I take a small loss or go for the chargeback option and sit it out.0 -

Posts/threads are deleted so we're no longer"publishing" them. While you may have posted it once we are made aware of it - we are legally liable too as the publisher. When something is deleted, it's removed from public view but it's still viewable by the Forum Team and can be reinstated if it needs to be. It won't show up in a forum search.
We never contact people when their posts are deleted. The sheer numbers of posts removed every day means it's simply impossible to contact everyone.
The Forum Team won't respond to aggressive emails demanding to know why a post/thread's been removed but if you send a polite email asking, it may review or explain the decision where possible (sometimes legal reasons prevent this).
