I want better online banking statements

I received a tax reminder today, which means I am going to have to trawl through my online statements till I arrive at a figure for my income.
At Lloydstsb you can only filter 3 months statements at a time, which is completely user unfriendly, as I have to make 4 or 5 searches just to see what I've banked in the past year. I feel like they are trying to blinker me by not letting me see the wider picture, or something.
I don't want to do this next year so I will move my account to a bank which allows me to search my entire banking history as and when I choose to. Does anyone on this forum know of such a bank account please?

I just download my banking history to my PC, and then I can choose what I do with the data whenever I like, and do many more searches than the banks website provides. I can run full reports, graphs across various incomes and expenses, etc.
When I ran my own business, finding out my income was a simple as clicking a button. I can still do it now, as even though I work for someone else, I still download all my transactions locally so I can search them without logging in to the banks website, which might be unavailable when I need the information.0 -
I take it this is a business - why do you not have a set of accounts which you could confirm income by checking against statements?0

Not sure they would like the cost of this...
But can't understand why they do not download the statements and run through one of the many packages. Or at worst excell.
Or even worse PRINT THEM OFF....Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

LloydsTSB don't charge for certificate of interest requests. Plus if it is information only that is required maybe asking the bank direct would be quicker as they may have enquiries to hand that can pull the information out.0 -
If you don't want to do it again next year, you need to be more organised. Print off your statements monthly and file them away. How do you run a business without knowing what your income is ?0

Lloyds allow the statement information to be downloaded. You can download a years worth of statements to be loaded into Excel/Open Office or save down and import into a free accounting program such as GnuCash.
Remember; tax doesn't have to be taxing.0 -
Is this forum for financial experts only, or am I welcome to post my comments/questions freely among helpful knowledgeable members?
I feel quite belittled by some of the less friendly advice.
callum9999 you are a real big shot aren't you? Your opinion is worth not one iota to me.
Thanks to some of the others who have made some good suggestions.
I must however be wrong to expect my bank to make things a bit easier for me.0 -
RBS does. :jcallum9999 wrote: »Don... though I can't think of any that let you see a years worth in one go...."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
