O2 Delivery Problems

Options
Sorry if this is in the wrong place. My other half ordered a new phone off the O2 website (free p&p). A couple of days later I came home after picking my dd up from school to find a delivery note (no one contacted us to say they were coming). We duly went online to the uk mail website but could only rearrange for another week day afternoon - no weekends and no mornings. They wouldn't let us to change the address to my OH workplace, or put it in a safe place or get a neighbour to sign for it. So he selected another afternoon as it's his only option. He can't take time off work, and I HAVE to pick my child up from school. Again they come when I'm at school picking her up. He tried to rearrange online, it wouldn't work. He tried ringing, that didn't work either (turns out they missed a digit out of the number, they've since rectified this). We tried on the correct number no-one answered. We emaied them, no one responds. (they still haven't).He contacted O2 online, they said they'll sort it out. They don't. He tried O2 online again, they said contact uk mail, he said he has tried repeatedly and he can't get them. Again on the O2 online service explain the situation, we're told we can't help you'll have to ring o2 customer services. Well then what's the point of the online service? to ring o2 costs 5p/min from home phone or 25p per call from mobile. There was no offer of anyone ringing us and apparently there's no email option either. He rang them, was told it had to be in the afternoon and had to be at the home address. They also said he couldn't cancel his order, but could return it after it arrives if he decides he doesn't want it. O2 rearranged with Uk mail to redeliver, this time he got a text saying they would come today between 1 and 4 pm, so the OH had to take the afternoon off work so one of us could sit at home and one could pick up dd from school. It didn't arrive.

Sorry this post is so long but I thought I ought to include the whole sorry saga. We don't know what on earth to do now. He can't keep taking afternoons off work in the vain hope that they might turn up. O2's customer service has been hopeless and Uk Mail's none existent. Help!!

If UK Mail have the package it would make sense to contact them ...which number have you been trying and what area do you live ?
It's not just about the money
  • Thanks for your reply - 08451 554 455 (customer care centre) is the only number we have for them. No one answers (and yes we have been ringing during the stated opening hours). We had come to the same conclusion, which is why we've tried to contact UK Mail first, before resorting to contacting O2. We live in Wales.
