Barclaycard First Statement - Is this normal?

With the direct debit, for the first month or two make sure it is definitely set up to pay before just leaving it. It will say on the statement whether payment will be collected by DD, if it doesn't, make sure you pay manually, lots of people miss this and end up losing the promo rate!

With regard to the first statement being so soon, Tesco produced one the day my account was opened (different company I know, same principle!). I received a statement for £0 the day after the card turned up! Bit of a waste but never mind!

Hey, how long did it take for the first balance transfer to go through? Also.... Once you activated your card were you able to use the online facilities straight away? Have another 2 balance transfers i'd like to make

My balance transfer went through within 2 working days, before I even got the card. I was able to access mybarclaycard online straight away as part of the application process.

I know this thread is a year old but for anyone interested I had my new card today and the first statement will be 5/12/2013 to be paid by between 28th December to 7th Jan
