Orange mobile trade-in

Hi there,

Me and my girlfriend are 2 weeks from upgrading or iPhones from 4's to 5's. We are both on the same contract and have orange broadband.

We are looking to trade our phones in with orange and they are currently worth £155. However, just a couple days ago my girlfriend dropped hers from about 1 foot and smashed the screen and back- disaster!

We don't want to replace the screen and back as it's quite expensive but wondered if anyone knew or have already traded the phone with orange with a cracked screen and back? The phone is otherwise working perfectly!

Not what you want to hear I'm afraid but pretty sure orange now view it as worth nothing. Cracked screens are considered 'non functional'. I know 100% sure they won't take cracked ipads, even if they work, so imagine its the same for iphones. Check online, search orange recycle and reward.

Orange and no interest in Trade-ins, and the amount you say is being offered is derisory. The may act as an agent for a 'recycler' but you lose either way.

You should go to to a repair shop for a replacement front/back as this will restore he value for not too great a cost.
