"Only 25%" is 25% too much!

    Hardly "well done".

It sounds very much as though your friend of a friend is on the case and as you are going to lose only 25% of the claim, good luck and well done.
What case, there is no such thing as 'hidden' ppi. It would be more productive trying to find Bigfoot

    Update.
As I stated before, I knew I had a loan with PPI from Lloyds bank, but I can't remember when, nor do I have the account number, or any evidence that I paid PPI. Can't even remember how much the loan was for.
I'd previously contacted lloyds who told me that they couldn't confirm it as they don't keep records going back more than a certain number of years, I can't remember how many.
This guy I'm using insisted he could get this info. His company have just updated me to say that, in fact, they can't.
So they have been a waste of time in that respect.

But it hasn't cost me a bean :rotfl:

All they did was confirm what the Bank had already told you. We already said they had no special means of finding out something you couldn't do yourself.

If you want to know EXACTLY what the Bank have kept on file for you it will cost you £10 for a Subject Access Request (SAR).

Yes. Quite why they would do that - when i've already told them I'd made enquiries and it was a dead end - is beyond me.

It's beyond me that you've employed them at all!:p
