Emily - sorry I missed this thread yesterday - happy belated birthday! :)

You do sound ambitious but you will probably do it, seeing how well you've done so far and make sure any prizes you get you keep to sell/use yourself!!

Ok, I'm really going for it this week!!

I've got no less than 10 mystery shops to complete between now and Saturday. This will get me £70 worth of fees, £15 worth of goods and £23.50 worth of mileage which can't be bad!!

I'm going to earn around £200 from AQA this month, need to update my signature. I received my £75 from another mystery shop I did. Next month I want to get at least £400 from AQA if I can.

I'm doing a car boot next weekend (weather permitting) with my mum and sister so we're going to split the money 3 ways. Should mean between £50-£100 for me.

Just need a few more wins to roll in now to clear that Capital One card ;)

It's great weather for car boot sales at the moment, I'll keep my fingers crossed it stays that way for you.

You're making really good progress towards paying off your Crapital One card, with all the things you've got going on, it'll be repaid in no time!

Your BF sounds like mine!!! Sure they're not the same guy.... mind you mine lives in Eastleigh not Portsmouth.

We went for a wander round Lymington earlier and he saw some Oakley sunglasses for £85  and wanted to get them. Thankfully he'd left his wallet behind so couldn't, but as soon as he got back here he was on the net looking for them so I nagged him..... "Do you really NEED them??" He has 3 pairs in the car!!!! So he's gone off now with his tail between his legs, cos I wouldn't "let" him buy them..... :rotfl: Thing is he has about £5k on his cards and is worrying about his mortgage going up in Sept when his discounted rate expires..... grrrrr what do I do with him???

Small world.... my BF lives more centre of Eastleigh. Near the Good Companions pub. Lol... so not the same then!! :rotfl:

If you're ever up and at a loose end, we could meet for a coffee and work out a plan how to sort them both out!!

I know where you mean, near those new flats and houses. I looked at a flat round that way a couple of years back, Chamberlayne Road I think (not sure of spelling).

Good idea to work out a plan to sort them both out. They sound like 2 peas in a pod!! My boyfriend has got about 3 pairs of expensive sunglasses, 3 mobile phones and around 4 watches!!

The problem is I can't nag him that much as we have no joint finances and don't live together so it's up to him what he does with his money really, I just wish he would try and plan for the future for a change.

Do you think there is a certain age when they just grow up? I've been waiting 6 years and he's 32 in September.

We're the same, we don't live together or have joint finances so he can do what he likes. I'm the same as you, wish mine would plan ahead etc. Think mine has underlying issues as he buys to make him feel good, but he puts it on his CC then he worries about his debt!! :wall:

My BF is 34 in May and still not grown up despite having a child with me!! lol

Lol at yours having all those things.... mine has 2 mobiles, 3 pairs of sunglasses, 3 watches, a surfboard, 2 wetsuits, countless shoes!!! He bought a pair of Quiksilver shorts the other day for £50  He's a lost cause, thing is I'm clearing my debt in the hope one day we'll live together, but at this rate he'll still be in debt when I've cleared mine.... grrrr men!! xx

Well my Capital One card is down to under £900 :j .

By the end of this month I want it down to £400 if I can.

I am half way through my hectic mystery shopping week - only 4 more to go now.

I've just put in my Grattan win order and with my £240 left over from what my mum and sister spent, I have ordered a Samsung camcorder and a Nokia mobile phone. I should get at least £150-£200 for those items.

The weather is looking good for Sunday so our carboot should go ahead ok.
