Morning,
Seems quiet here this morning.
I'm going to get into my painting gear shortly and do another wall in the living room, did the long wall yesterday afternoon so was quite pleased -so was DH when he got home from work.We couldnt do anymore anyway last night as DGD was here. She was in much better form than last week, her cold & cough seem to have gone.Hilstep perhaps your DGD is coming down with a cold,DGD was so grumpy and clingy last week
Tea is going to be a hotch potch,DS2s GF is coming, and he's buying them some fish,DS1 is having a pizza that needs eating, and me & DH are having l.o. meatballs from Monday as there was only me had them on Monday so plenty left.So no prep needed really-gives me longer to paint, then hopefully crack on with some more cards. My neighbour who is having the stall on the Victorian market in early Dec. wants some cards to put on her stall to bulk it out a bit.
Right have good days, the best you can be thoughts to everyone:) x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all - having an energetic day here. Up at Harley Street at the crack of dawn to find that my thyroid is now perfect on 150mcg thyroxine. Signed back to the GP, and I can now give blood again, so I'm super-pleased
It's been a long journey of 3 years (or 20 years if you count the time before I was finally diagnosed), but we got there in the end.
The house is silent except for snoring cats, and the sun is lovely and warm on the back of my neck. I'm in major debt-busting mode. DH would rather bury his head in the sand, but has agreed that I can sort through his 3-foot pile of paperwork and pull out all the stuff for his loans and credit card to get them on my spreadsheet, even if he doesn't decide to snowball them the way I'm doing mine. I'll take the opportunity to throw away 8 year old empty envelopes and miscellaneous leaflets
Just put lamb shanks in the crockpot on low - they'll be perfect by this evening with mash, peas and gravy. Having a break for laundry, then heading out with books to the charity shop and stuff for the bank (a mile each way). If I haven't exhausted myself by then, I'll sort paperwork, do more laundry and maybe even tackle the baking cupboard which is full to the gills of ancient goodness knows what. I reckon I'll have walked a good 5 miles today. Making the most of it because it's my last full day off - moving up to 4.5 days next week.
Have to laugh at work - HR have decided I'm at risk on the stairs for fire evacuations because of my neck, so now I have a PEEP (Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan). My boss is my 'fire buddy' to escort me to a special door in the corner to use a batphone to call a personal lift, while everyone else has to traipse down 6 flights. I've promised/threatened her if they ever enforce it, I'll hold her hand and skip across the office
A big thank you to whoever recommended eReaderIQ for free Kindle stuff last week - you're a treasure

Good morning everyone
Lovely day here but I forgot to put the washing machine on last night so no washing to hang out this morning. Oh well, it's on today and maybe tomorrow will be the same.
Worked out my wool for the poncho and I don't think I have got enough, I didn't realise that the style she wants takes so much and I worked it out on 50 g balls and then checked the pattern and they are 100 g balls on there. I have already made long scarves for DD and DGG for Christmas but am now thinking of one of those cowl scarf things I saw someone mention here yesterday, will have to see if I can beg, borrow or steal a pattern for one of those.
Threw away 8 plastic containers with either no lids or they were warped and the lids didn't fit any more last night. The decluttering will be done a bit at a time but I will win in the end.
Got some late night whoopsy bargains on the way home last night so having tex mex beef and pasta for dinner tonight. Lunch is last night's lentils left overs, thinned down with a bit of stock to make soup.
Back to work so will send well wishes to sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hello all, my first post here so here goes:
At work for 13 hours today so trying to keep myself occupied, i have home made fruit bread for snack today and left over stuff from fridge to make nice yummy pittas for lunch, including the last un-gratable (unless you want to grate your fingers) bit of cheese, mozzarella, tomato and ham. Lots of fruit, the pears are very ripe so i have 2 of them for today and tomorrow.
Cereal for dinner tonight as i finish at 9 and will not be in the mood for cooking!
Have already got my OH to do an inventory of our freezer so on friday we are going to sit down together and do meal plans until we run out of food!
Hope you all have a fab day0 -
Morning All!
Don't seem to be getting on here too often atm. DH's surgery was almost 4 weeks ago and he starts chemo next week.
He's done most of the cooking and dog walking for several years and I'm finding it hard doing most things myself just now...and I'm not a natural nurse type either.
Still HW is pretty much under control. Made a batch of marmalade a week or two back, from fruit frozen last January!
Need to catch up with all your goings on as very out of touch.
Anyway, hope you all have a good day today.Resolution:

Another awful night's sleep, got some stuff on my mind which is bothering meand I keep waking up thinking about it through the night. I'm going to try and sort it out today, but don't think it will be fully sorted. I was also boiling again last night! So much for a relaxing week off eh? :rotfl:
No plans for today. Think I'll just potter and try to keep my mind off stuff. I'm going to go for a walk/jog later. I've not jogged in awhile so it will be tough! I need to find a new route cos the one I normally do is no good in the dark/wet as it's not lit. So will find a road route later, even if I just walk it out today.
OS wise - laundry to be put away, WM may go on if I have a full load, freezer meal for lunch (soup or curry depending on my mood) and I have LO roast dinner from Mon to have for tea, need to hoover.
Have a good day all

FB- Hope things are resolved soon xxmorning all!
day off:j am more than ready for it too after a very busy week since Saturday.
Had a lie in and read my book in bed:) later I'm attempting a painting of a dog for a friend. Not sure how it will come out as the original photo isn't too good but I'll try my best.
Have had a quick tidy round, don't plan to do too much today.

Bargainbird - THIS is what I did today.
seriously.... thats amazing. really really good. you clever thing:j:j
ive had a grr couple of days. here comes my rant.
firstly i doubled up some tesco vouchers to get 40 pounds worth of toy vouchers. i did this online. spent the vouchers on a scooter for xmas for my boy and it would only accept three of them and i had to pay cash for the rest of the amount AND it said that i had used the voucher:eek::eek:
so need to ring them and sort that. THEN scooter arrived and the box was really really damaged. rang them ... was on hold for nearly 30 mins and eventually they refunded me ten pounds.
THEN opened some presents that had arrived for my husband. the top looked like a rag and it was £55 so had to send that back and the wallett i bought had a dented tin. also expensive.
i hate with a passion sending things back so im really really stressed about all this.:mad:
on the plus side im having a back massage tonight so that should chilll me out.
tea tonight is sw bacon and chicken casserole.. all syn free:T
no jobs done in house today at all as i worked 840 til 215 and spent the rest of the time sorted out tesco.
hoping my issues get resolved.:(
thinking of people on here that have proper issues ie illness and sad times
