Hi all been awol for a while back now :D
Since beginning of the year I have collected £104 of the big shiny ones. So have added to last year totals as I am after £1000 :T

I started saving this time last year so I am happy with my total in a year and what did I do before I saved them as I never seemed to have any more money in my purse .

    Happy hunting
    Mav x

Debt free and Mortgage free thank you to all for your encouragement and advice

Crazy Clothes challenge £300/£48 and 5 months /0 without spending :T

  • Just a fleeting visit to say I've not forgotten about this challenge! lol

Have managed to acquire at least a couple of coins this month and find myself often hoping that I'll get them in change, or that I can swap them for £1 coins if friends have them.

I've resisted counting up how many I have so far, but suspect it's only about half a dozen at the moment. As they say though, every penny counts though and all that jazz. I'm convincing myself that I only have so few because I'm that good at not spending, but in reality it's probably because I'm really good at spending my virtual money online instead :rotfl:

Feels like forever ago last time I posted! Got one today because I bought it from the plumber (he doesn't know, I swapped it before I gave him the cash). There were two in his cash but I could only afford one :( Oh well, better than none.

:T2 for me today. I did have a third one but had to use it to get out of the car park:eek:
I really hate it when that happens.

Quick question for seasoned £2 collectors (apologies if its been posted elsewhere but I haven't been through all 700+ posts) - what happens to your coins once you decide to spend them? I mean, do you spend the coins themselves or change them for notes at the bank or deposit them in your bank account or what? I'm asking because when I do reach my goal the item I have in mind to buy would be better bought on a credit card so I can have some protection if it's faulty. BUT I bank with Smile (Co-op) which is online only and there isn't a Co-op bank near to me that I can take my coins to.
