Hi all
good to read you are all in the same boat. I still havent heard anything from northampton court (since getting barclays bank defence and standard AQ to be dispensed with blah blah) It has nearly been two weeks. does anyone know should i ring the court and find out if a hearing date has been set? should i contact the bank and ask for my money again? or should i just show extreme patience and wait to hear from court?!! i guess we are jsut all waiting to hear from anyone who has gone through the next step.
any advice appreciated.0 -

I guess we just sit tight until the court contacts us,after all we have paid them to do a service, they must be inundated and mightily hacked off with all these claims! Hopefully the banks will get the sharp end of the stick and not us! (She says optimistically!!)0 -

Further to the above I have now received a Notice of Allocation to the small claims track (hearing). Does anyone know what happens now please?0 -
I am in the same boat except that Barclays claim I am abusing court process becaue I did not state my account details on my moneyclaim. ( this in spite of the fact that someone from their Canary Wharf office called me after I made the claim online- they knew who I was then) Does anyone know if I have to send the account details to the court together with the bank statements and how much I am owed please? has anyone heard what happened in the Nat West case as yet?0

Hi,
I've had exactly the same letter form Northampton Court, the case has been transferred to my local COunty Court and the need for an allocation questionnaire has been dispensed with. My claim is also against Barclays. Their defence is just a load of twaddle quoting their terms and conditions and how it was my responsibility to ensure I didn't go over my overdraft limit!
Been trawling through this forum to try to find something, but half the threads that look relevant have been moved, and i can't find them.
As you say, if the court doesn't know whats happening how is anybody else supposed to?
Anyone with any ideas? Anyone know where all the threads on this have gone?

You should expect an AQ soon. Fill it in promptly and send it back. There is a guide in the Reclaim Help thread (link in signature).
Thanks for that ...
Since I posted this question, I've had my court form through saying that Northampton have passed this to my local court (Peterborough) and have suggested that an AQ be dispensed with. I'm seeing from other posts that this is becoming the norm'!
Barclays defence was poor - they tried to say that I never advised them what the particulars of my claim were (they've only had them SEVEN times!) and that I agreed to their terms and conditions when I opened the account ... blah blah blah ... I guess this is a standard response that they have now ready for us claimers!
I guess I should now just sit tight and wait to hear fro Peterborough ... ?
Deep joy ... !0 -

Sorry about the missing threads, the forums have really been playing up with me the past week and threads have mysteriously merged and moved with totally the wrong threads and I've had to un-merge the above posts out of the Lloyds thread.
There are probably posts still in the Lloyds thread which I'll check when I get more time. Also have a read of this thread regarding claims being "stuck out"....

hello, I am after some help here for my case. After the bank has enetered a defence against £3000, Northampton county courts have sent me the following letter:
To all parties
A defence to this claim has been filed.
This claim has been transfered to the court covering the area where the claiment lives.
Please read the accompanying documents carefully (and note that the allocation questionannaire should be returned to the southampton county court.)
The parts in brackets have been crossed out by a pen and no allocation questionnaire was attached in the envelope. I am really confused as to where to go from here and would really appreciate some advice. Thanks in advance.0 -
Courts are now dispensing with the allocation questionaire to save time as they know the banks are all settling the claims and wasting their time. I had this happen to me too.
So you don't need to do anything further for now.0
