Due to Orange (or EE) and their incompetence, my daughter has had to buy a cheap PAYG phone until EE send yet another SIM card for her iphone.
We got the cheapest that our local Tesco had in stock.
They are doing a deal where you can opt for extras when you top up £15, and she wants to go for the 500mb data. However, looking at this table
http://phone-shop.tesco.com/tesco-mobile/help-and-support/data-allowance.aspx
it doesn't make sense.
Under the 500mb column, if you visit sites such as the BBC, the 500mb plan allows 1,500.
1,500 what? Visits? Hours? Clicks?
What a stupid non-information table! Can anyone explain it please?

1,500 different web pages. Say you go to the main bbc homepage, that would count as a web page. You click a link on the page, then that counts as another page.
If your daughter wants to keep track of how much data she is using. She should download a data monitor, it tells you how much data you are using (and can reset itself at the end of the billing period.)0 -
My guess is 1500 web pages.0

1500 visits (or page loads to be more precise). Not that ambiguous, imho0
-
Just to be clear, that table is only a reference as to how that data could be consumed. They won't actually be recording how many times a new page is visited. It's a finger in the air guide.0

Thank you.
One of those "obvious once it's pointed out to you" things0 -
If it is an android phone then you can get apps to monitor data usage.
500mb is quite a lot if you avoid streaming video0 -
It's to assist people who don't understand MB's and how different uses consume different amounts of data.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
