As I said, it's because it's redundant when you are paying a premium for the product.

Apple also tend to manufacture to a very high standard - nobody can (reasonably) deny that they make some very nice kit - but that again is reflected in the price.

In reality it's the excesses of the fanbois that ensure there's often going to be a reaction to pro Apple stories.

And as I said, good service deserves to be praised regardless. Even if you are paying a premium for it.

But strangely enough, it is a formula that is working for them.

Why is it strange? There has always been a demand for different levels of service and product quality
It's refreshing to see that, in a culture where we demand everything to be cheap, cheaper and the cheapest, some companies can still stick to their principles and provide a quality product and an enojoyable retail experience without getting dragged down to the lowest common denominator.

    I agree.

I often see operations where it is obvious that with a fairly small increase in price a much better customer experience could be provided.

  • big thumbs up to apple.

yes they are more expensive but then again you do get better serve and a better product
  • Didn't realise what I was starting!!

For those that are totally against Apple, I am not pro-Apple. Yes, my MP3 is an Ipod, but my laptop is Toshiba and my phone is the SG2. And if hubby has picked up on the hints, I should be opening a box with a lovely Asus Infinity on Christmas morning, so I am definitely not a true Apple consumer.

Yes the £25 is alot more than you would pay in other stores for other headphones. But having had numerous sets of headphones including expensive (more that £25) noise reducing ones, the Apple ones seem to fit my ears much better.

I was going to buy the headphones anyway, the quality of the service was just a refreshing change.

Cacolantern - one was a young gent!

Azari - can't say I've read your threads before. But I have been in McDonalds where you raise an eyebrow at how bad the staff are and others where the staff are quite friendly. I have also been in expensive restaurants where the service has been very questionable. For me, a smile and a thank you, go a long way.

You pay for what you get. My Windows laptops had constant viruses, kept crashing and never lasted more than a year, had my MacBook 2 years with no problems. I'd rather pay premium for products that last and if people would rather have Windows laptops that's their choice, same as its mine. Apple treat their customers well, some other companies could learn something from them. If you don't like Apple then fine, I'm not asking you to buy them for me so chill the hell out!
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
