Thanks for the fab reply Queenie! - have mailed myself a copy so I can refer to it when am getting a bit world weary!
Now I have started looking carefully at everything I buy, re-assessing what I need or want - I have noticed that its very difficult to discern what I want from what someone else is pushing in my face! Money Saving turned out to be a bit more extreme than expected!I've made my debts bite-size too depressing to look at all at once so am handling them one at a time - first up Graduate Loan £1720 paid off! only £280 to go!!!
Money to raise for tuition fees: £3000

Or you could just put that board on top of the fish tank... kill two birds (but no fish) with one stone :rotfl:
Which actually wouldnt be that innapropriate as the goldfish started out life as a table decoration! My flat mate rescued it from a catering event where every table had a bowl of flowers with a goldfish floating around the stems - defo very cruel and wasteful! (they wouldnt tell us what was going to happen to the fish afterwards but it didnt look good) we managed to abscond with one of them in a lunch box and now it swims happily around a big goldfish bowl next to the kitchen sink!I've made my debts bite-size too depressing to look at all at once so am handling them one at a time - first up Graduate Loan £1720 paid off! only £280 to go!!!

Then: Plastic bags ... never thought about them except trying to think of ways to use them around the house (ie, bin liners, cycle seat protects etc).
Now: Got a bee in my bonnet at some of the startling statistics about landfills sooooo ......
Put the cool box in the boot of my car; making cloth shopping bags. Instead of packing my shopping from trolley to bags, I shall simply put it all back into the trolley (Lidl style!) and pack it all in the car in my cool box/HM bags.
Bin liners will now be drawstring bags, made from some shower curtain material I have, so they can be disinfected and reused to line the bathroom bin, waste paper baskets.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
