Oh moggins what a lovely thing to say, you brought tears to my eyes now*hugs*
Don't worry, I won't be quitting any time soon ... think I'd have an easier time giving up smoking than quitting here, it's so addictive!!! :rotfl:
I've taken a lot from this site, as you've seen above, and made many positive changes so I try to put something back and help others wherever I can too. I also get a lot of enjoyment from helping others and if I can just make a slight difference in someone's life it makes me feel good and puts a smile on my face"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Well done curry queen. Like you I suffer with similar problems and have found that this site has and the people on here have really helped me to focus on something positive. I am beginning to wake up most days with a smile and look forwards to my day again. Thanks to everyone and their ideas, funny stories & tips I have now got a renewed purpose in life, and have stopped spending to fill a gap or cheer me up. Now the biggest high I get is saving & cooking lovely meals for the family, and revelling in their enjoyment and praise. My other half has admitted how hard it has been for him to watch me spending and throwing stuff away, but didn't say before incase it sent me over the edge.
great list c-q looking forward to your next one:beer:
So heres to the old style anti depressant, things can only get better.
Now if I can only get out the front door on my own.:D0 -

FS, I'll send you my kids, 10 minutes with them and you'll run out of the door screaming for mercy.
I'm not exaggerating unfortunately, dh often sends me off at the weekend just so I can get some peace. I used to shop, now I try and figure out what I can do without spending money.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I'm actually lost for words for once!!! ... shock, horror
You've all given me such a lovely warm, fuzzy feeling inside (and it's not just from wine I'm sipping) the likes of which I haven't felt for a very long time :j
Thank you!!!!!

No thanks Moggins got 4 of me own. After two weeks I am looking forward to the peace during the day, (apart from 22 month old).
I send husband and kids out for an hour or two (with no money, cruel aren't I)?
I am supposed to rest but use it as a time to tidy up just so I can sadisticly (sp)watch tem wreck when they come home:rotfl:0 -
now - came by some unexpected money today (the £10 free bet on the national gained me £80:D ) and thought what I really wanted the money for. Went straight into town and bought dd the new school shoes from clarks that she needed. I had already had her fitted for shoes but couldn't afford any this month really and live a long way from an outlet village. Had planned trip to outlet village in a few weeks and now don't need to go so won't be tempted to buy other things too and save on petrol which probably would have been more than the shoe savings. Gave mr sonn £10 to spend as he wished, bought ice cream for pudding and a bottle of wine. Rest of the money (£40)will be staying in the bank. Result, kids really enjoyed treat of ice cream, husband pleased and I feel good that I have not spent all the money and don't feel I need to buy anything with it no matter how many times my friends say 'treat yourself'.
then -(if I had come into extra money) would have already bought daughters shoes even though a little room still left in hers. Would have taken family out for dinner even though i would have planned meals for the week and probably would have then had to chuck more food away unused. WOuld have found something - or anything - to spend remainder on straight away to 'use the money'.0
