I run a small business and am thinking of signing up for this proposition whereby I can get mobile internet data across my phone, tablet and a mobile dongle if i want too. I can also share the data with other employees as I expand my business. I think this will allow me mobilise my buisness and capture more work. It does come at a slight premium but if it can generate me some extra sales and revenue out of it then it will be worth it. Has anyone else used this service or got thought on it. Would be great to hear your thoughts.
No other network seems to offer this sort of thing to the same extent so think it is either this or nothing!

This is usually offered on business tariffs O2 and Vodafone both do business data sharing tariffs.

Prepaid consumer works out cheaper than contact, the run on price per MB of data contract is astronomical outside any data bundle. Voda, o2 & Orange all have 1-3GB data packs but afterwards the price is expensive, can you trust employees with that ?

Of course you have to trust your employees if you go in for one of these schemes. I asked that question to them though and they said that I could text at any time to see how much we had used of our allowance as a group and that they would text my phone when 80% and 100% of the data had been used too. Quite reassuring I thought because then I can manage it so we don't go out of bundle and incur silly charges

Thought I would signpost a really useful video on the Vodafone website which clearly explains how sharing data can benefit business and save money: it has worked for me!


go to the business tab, then select sharer plans in the shop and the page appears on the in the menu on the side.

Recommended as a good watch and something to consider - my team's productivity has gone up by being able to use their tablets and I don't spend anymore as sharing data has proved more efficient for usage.....win-win!
