I'll personally never deal with Express Estate Agency again. They were advertising a 5 bedroom house for £140,000 which I viewed and put an offer in. Declined immediately and the asking price jumped up to £180,000 the next day on the house listing so I once again made an offer for the full asking price and they declined it same day again. I looked at the listing and the asking price jumped to £235,000 the very next day.

Was done playing silly beggars with them and didn't bother with the house any longer. My solicitor who was submitting the offers even said they are a nightmare to deal with.

Not sure if under pricing the house was a tactic to get people hooked and get the offers rolling in but as a buyer, they definitely wasted my time. Have avoided anything to do with them since.

Sounds like Express want to generate viewings and then go from there, but it appears they want to play games and dream up a new game to play when bored with the old game that didn't get the result they were expecting.
Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.

Dannyboy - thanks - not helpful.
Some people actually prefer to live in a flat.

So what kind of property are you moving to?

I don't recall. It was one of many houses I was viewing at the start of the year. I believe the asking price was under the valuation until they increased the asking price to 235. It was a shame as the house was beautiful, 1900's, 5 bedrooms over 3 floors.

I'm sure there will be plenty of buyers and sellers who have had a good experience with them but I for one will avoid any property being marketed by them.
