Lost/Stolen Phone - Carphone Warehouse
Hi,
I lost my iPhone 4S (although possibly I was pick pocketed) last month. I reported it lost to O2 who immediately blocked it. It has never tracked on my iCloud. It wasn't insured. I bought a new iPhone from Apple as I am still in contract with O2 for another 18 months.
Yesterday, I received a card for Carphone Warehouse (where I originally purchased the phone) telling me that my repair is ready for collection. I called them this morning to be told that my (original) phone was put in for repair on 5th November and checked out on 8th November. When I asked how someone could have collected my phone without passing some kind of security check, the lady said she doesn't know and that it would be better for me to speak to the branch to see if they remember anything about it. I don't understand how they have given my phone out to someone else when they clearly have my details to have contacted me.
Does anyone have any advice on what my next steps should be?
Thanks,
Cheryl

Maybe it was a mistake and not really your phone.
