Will a Virgin sim work in a Iphone 3gs locked on Orange?

Could do with using this 3gs on Virgin mobile for a couple of months?

    No, it would need to be unlocked first. Orange change £20 I think..

    Just thought because Virgin uses Tmob/Orange it might work.

    If locked to Orange No other network will work in it not even T-Mobile.
