Where are you getting the asda prices from for the spreadsheet because on mysupermarket the nescafe and thorntons are N/A ?
Thanks for the spreadsheet though
the Thornton's is N/a but the Nescafe is on Asda website for 8.98 just seen it's changed prob at midnight, will check other prices too just in case!28/04/11 - A bad day for shoppers everywhere (Tesco shoppers that is!) RIP DTD :A0 -
To qualify, you’ll need at least 8 different items, including one comparable grocery item in your basket.
The one comparable being the robinsons?
Sorry for all the questions.
I haven't done this since for a few months and some T&C's have changed. From what you say, you are correct. Maybe somebody else can confirm.Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
Right sorry for yet another post, but I have double checked all the prices (on Mr A and Mr T's websites) and should be right now
Note on Mr Ts website it says in the banner on the offers page that the chocs are £10 but still being shown as £16 so I have gone for the £10 as that is what the offer says. If it is £16 someone let me know and I will change it.
I have also added a bit which tells you how much the fuel + goods would cost at both Tesco and Asda (assuming the cost of petrol is the same of course but will give you a rough idea) In some cases it is cheaper at Asda but that’s if you only buy a few litres of fuel. It is much cheaper at Tesco even with the inflated prices if you are planning to fill the car up as apposed to buying 10 or so litres!

The spreadsheet is designed as a rough guide only as certain things are taken into consideration i.e. whole litres of fuel are purchased and the price of fuel at T and A are the same but should basically tell you whether it's cheaper for the fuel and goods at T rather than A28/04/11 - A bad day for shoppers everywhere (Tesco shoppers that is!) Just for info - the 300G nescafe refill is £6.98 at Sainsburys so would still work against the tesco price promise.Cher-Ching wrote: »Right sorry for yet another post, but I have double checked all the prices (on Mr A and Mr T's websites) and should be right now

I would like to say well done to everyone on here that saw the "Inflated" prices on this, and found ways to cut it down too! Well done - very MSE you should be proud0

Just something else worth noting. Don't mix the shops if planning to Price Promise with the items. So, if buying coffee do a shop that is against Sainsbury's. If buying Andrex and Squash do a shop against Asda.0

What's the best combination of items to buy on this to get the max £10 pp and spend as little as possible?0

Amazing spreadsheet.:j:j:j:j
So easy to use and understand.
One question: The spreadsheet doesn't take into account the Tesco price promise, unless I've missed it?
So I get:
Total cost for fuel and goods Tesco £61.32
Total cost for fuel and goods Asda £60.22
But if include other neutral items to qualify for PP, I should in theory also get a PP voucher for £9 aganist a future shop.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
