I lock iPhone4 from Voda/NUC Resolutions/Wrong IMEI

Options
It would seem that I'm not the only person to have problems with vodafones India based NUC Resolutions team.
I have been trying for over 4 weeks to get the code to unlock my iphone4 from Vodafone. The first couple came back incorrect imei number so I checked number using *#06# & surprise surprise it was correct number. I double checked with Vodafone and apparently they had a different number which was adjusted so I resubmitted the form- again I get told wrong number. Since then (5/11/12) I have spoken to Vodafone again and someone changed imei number (app call before the Vodafone op put a wrong digit in) and then he resubmitted form for me again. I got a text to say
"NUC Resolutions Consumer Request Form
Your request has been submitted. Reference Number: 652142
Your NUC Code Request reference
Thank you for your call
VODAFONE"

I've yet to hear anything back 8 days later and spoke to Vodafone this mng and been told there is no way to chase up what is happening.
For a company that boasts of being best network they have some serious failings at times!!!!

Can someone please help

I had issues with an unlock code for my old contract phone. I think contract phones are all unlocked now anyway?

Turned out AOL my ISP at the time were blocking vodafone emails.

I tried registering on the help forum and no confirmation email ever arrived. Used a yahoo email address and the email arrived instantly.

Never got an Indian call centre when i asked for mine. Cant think how long ago that was now?

Last upgrade or the previous one?

I am no expert in iPhones, but AFAIK their unlocking doesn't involve any codes.

Correct. Have a gold star :staradmin

Joking aside you should not have to talk to anyone just use the web form - http://campaigns.vodafone.co.uk/UnlockCodeRequestForm/

Vodafone UK can unly unlock phones supplied by/though them so it can't be a phone from Vodafone OZ lets say but that should not be the case if it's locked to them anyway.
You should then get a text telling you to change the SIM and re-sync it in Itunes.

Mine took a few days and I never talked to CS throughout.

I thought most networks tell you it can take up to 30 days for the unlock.

Someone posted recently about almost instant unlocking by O2.
