I CAN'T GET ON IT! I signed up and verified my e-mail but didn't find out my user ID and password until I 're-sent' them, and when I enter them it doesn't do anything, no errors etc like I get when I enter the wrong details. HOW DO I GET ON? :(
  • I have added my CV using the CV Builder. I would be interested to hear if anyone has an employer contact them as a result of having searched the site

Just added my CV to apply for a role (in keeping with my agreement, even though I may have a job hopefully. fingers crossed)

I VERY much dislike that I didn't get an option to send a covering letter with my CV.
  • if you lot think this is bad just wait till the full universal credit gets started ...... there will be many people worse off even the familys with self employed people that work 30/40 hours a week but dont earn that much, there will be many hoops to jump through to claim money... not just this job site.

I also cannot find an option to send a covering letter with jobs that do not have a contact email address listed, only the "apply now" button. In addition I think the formatting of my CV might be messed up. I don't know what employers are actually receiving from me.

Why can't I just send an email to the employer?
  • Ok went to sign on today and when I sat down there was a leaflet about the new site.

The woman I saw to sign was looking at my job applications and said (tapping the leaflet) 'have you seen the new site' to which I replied 'yes I have looked at it every day since it went live, but not set up an account yet'. Her reply was only this 'you can add all these jobs online too' and I replied 'yeah I know'

She never said it was mandatory, not did she say I had to sign up for an account or anything at all.

I do believe people are being told different things according to what you produce when you do sign on. I have seen people not even turn up with their JSA book let alone their job applications etc. I am guessing these people may be made to sign up but as yet I haven't been told to do so.

No option at all to send a cover letter?

Why would they make a site like that where you can not attach a letter of have one stored online which you can adapt to each application?
  • I hope you've all applied for this one

None. Not one thing. I thought it would take me to a page after I clicked apply now to write a cover letter (like s1jobs) but nope.
