Hi
Just received a letter this morning from the above company and just wondered if any one else had any experience with these guys? Is it worth going through the appeal process or should i just pay it?
They are asking for £50 if i pay within 14 days or £100 if i don't.
Many thanks Guys!

Why on earth would you pay it? Please take a read of all the other threads on here that deal with private parking tickets. You don't owe them a penny. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

To pay them even £0.01 is not even an option let alone £50! Ignore if you want the quiet life. Bin all 'correspondence'(scam threats)from them.
To appeal to them is usless lest you wish to make them cough up some dough by using POPLA. For that someone here will help you no doubt.Got a ticket from ParkingEye? Seek advice by clicking here: Private Parking forum on MoneySavingExpert.:j0 -
Ignoring them is as viable an option as it ever was - PPC charges are just as illegal as ever.
However if you want to make things awkward for them, you can appeal to them, then take the POPLA route (in England and Wales) after the inevitable refusal.
However, if you just want an easy life, ignore them and check some of the previous UKPC threads here to get ready for the rubbish threats they will send you.0 -

Legally you owe UKPC absolutely nothing. Do not pay them a penny.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Legally the car park owner can seek losses resulting from your action. Those losses are zero, so the threats on their signage and the invoice they have given you are void. You'll receive debt collectior letters but these too are all part of the scam circuit and there is no point communicating with any of the bodies. Continue to ignore, don't let them know you are even receiving their rubbish.0

Why do you think you have to appeal or pay? As others have said you can ignore it because it's not a fine, just a fake PCN which will be followed by some junk mail threatograms. There are LOADS of threads about UKPC, here's an auto search, TONS of advice on each thread:
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=site%3Aforums.moneysavingexpert.com+UKPC+McDonalds+have+never+Court
More can be found with a search of the forum. Read the advice there on other UKPC threads and just generally on this forum about any private parking company (PPC for short when we discuss them on this forum!). The only difference now is that under the Protection of Freedoms Act they can write to the registered keeper and don't have to write to the driver. Big deal, both can ignore as it doesn't suddenly magically make these fake tickets enforceable!
Also see the 5th from top thread 'PPC letter chains' for pics of the junk mail.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi All
I thought about what I should and decided I would send a quick email saying that i would not be paying there parking notice as this is not a fine and you can not legally enforce this.
I got a reply 6 days later saying
Dear Sir,
With reference to the Charge Notice issued to the abov vehicle, after reviewing our data and in view of the representations made in connection with its issue, we can confirm that on this occasion only, as a gesture of goodwill, we have decided to cancel this Notice and no further action is to be taken.
Yours faithfully,
UK Parking Control Limited
I am obviously pleased with this outcome as i really couldn't be doing with riding out all the threatening letters, well worth a quick email.
Thanks everyone for your help as i would have probably paid it!!:j0 -

Quite remarkable the number of newbies here who seem to be having their appeals allowed ...:think:0
