Do T-Mobile usually make a retentions offer ?
My 18 month T-Mobile contract is up shortly and I just phoned them to give my 30 days notice.
They happily took it and simply said, I hope you are happy with your new provider, your T-Mobile account will be closed on 16th May, and that was that.
It was the cancellations (retentions ?) department I was speaking to, so it wasn't just some CS guy with no real power.
I was paying between £33 and £40 per month.
Is that it, as far as T-Mobile are concerned. Can I expect a call from them sometime in the next 30 days, or don't T-Mobile make offers ?
Cheers,
Kevin.

I phoned T Mobile yesterday as my 12 month contract ended and they had put the price up to £15 a month for 300 minutes off peak and 30 texts. I did a deal last year threatened to leave so they gave me £10 month discount making monthly cost only £5 month. Yesterday I asked why it had been put up and was told as the 12 months was up they altermatically put it back to the old price. I was then offered a new phone if I wanted to keep the contract at £15 month but I said I didnt need a new phone so I was offered the £5 month again with 300 minutes off peak and 30 text a month which I accepted. If I want to use the phone peak time I just put credit on the phone as I dont use the phone much peak tim this works out a really good deal for me. I would phone again talk to a different person ask them what offers they have ,you should be entitled to at least a £10 discount on the price plan a month .Competitions wins 2010
