Hello everyone, I cant believe its 12.40 and I am only just posting. I have been so busy today, doing the things I should have done at the week-end. I am doing a couple of assignments that are due in thursday:eek:. That will serves me right for leaving them. Fortunately one was nearly done before i had a my downer at the weekend. I have been to Costa with a friend this morning so no excuse really not to crack on. Hope everyone is well. Will read the thread properly after I have finished my other assignment. Have a good afternoon/evening.xxx“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0

Found some really cute reindeer fabric yesterday so am planning on making a Christmas apron. Just need to figure out how as I really don't sew. Would love a skirt in the fabric but I think people would see that as a little odd!
Jenny, intentional holes are quite easy, have a practise first before you start with your nice woolAlternatively I make an easy one that is only 4 rows rib, then pattern of 4 rows knit & 4 rows purl repeated until it's as long as you want, then 4 rows rib again
Wondaweb is great for hemming if you don't sew, and use thick ribbon or tape for the neck & waist bands, but you will need to hand sew those on0 -

I can do accidental holes easy peasy!
My aim is to use my Singer (it is a hand crank one!) - trying to learn all those homey skills that were out of fashion when I was at school.
Should do some proper knitting but got tempted by the fancy yarns again today. I got some that is ribbon with holes at the top and makes a lovely ruffled scarf!
I do have a bit of a craft mountain but I forget all about the stuff I already have when I am in the shop!0 -
Thanks, will do.
Is there a site that lists the stitches? I want to see 'this is whatever stitch' next to photo of the stitch.
This is a good one:

Evening all
I am shattered! I didn't sleep too well last night, and then had to get up early as today me and my friends went to Cardiff. We went to visit our friend who had a baby girl 2 weeks ago, she already has a 15mth old girl. We spent a lovely 2 hours there. Friend and baby are both doing well, we took along some small gifts, and a gift for her LO which she loved! Then we went into Cardiff to have lunch and to go shopping.
I was after a dress for my xmas parties, and ended up buying a new coat, new boots and a new bag! :rotfl: Ah well. I needed a new coat, and the one I got is from Debenhams, it was half price (£40) and got an extra 10% off for being a cardholderbargain. The boots were £20 but there was 25% off those
. The bag is a gold clutch from Oasis, i should have been £25 but they had 20% off, and I got the free £10 gift voucher from the magazine (Look?) that was mentioned in the MSE newsletter so it only cost me £10 :j Bargain!
OS wise - dishes washed, yday I made a big pot of spicy butternut squash soup so I have blended that and frozen 4 portions, stirfry for tea.
Have a good evening all

Happy Diwali all :j There are some awesome fireworks going on that I can see from my window, reminds me of school when Diwali was a huge celebration there.
Our boiler has broken again after just over a week. Really hoping it doesn't take maintenance two weeks to "fix" it again as it's ruddy cold and washing is taking forever to dry. I went to my work course today in an un-ironed shiny wrap skirt with a baggy t-shirt tucked into it  The course is so dull, not what we expected and I am dying to get back to work as I have so much to do. The line manager who made a pass at me (aka stuck his tongue down my throat) on friday is on it and being really awkward and creating an atmosphere, even though I'm trying to be normal and forget about it. It's one of those things I want to go to my Mum about but know it's definitely best I keep my mouth shut.

I hope you get chance to discuss this with your HR department behaviour like that should not be tolerated especially if it continues to make you feel uncomfortable. Its harrasment pure and simple.
So far had a run of 5 NSD's, its so nice working close to home shop bought sandwichs don't appeal when i can have hot soup or left overs.
