Also worth noting that there's a Debenhams Plus - https://www.debenhamsplus.com. They stock everything from iPads to TVs and bikes and the insuctions say that Debenhams gift cards can be used as a form of payment if ordering over the phone. I'd assume that would also then allow for part-payment by gift card or payment across multiple gift cards (for those of use with more than 1 Amex).

I'm planning on getting an iPad or similar for half price.

Still, it is disappointing that Amex/Foursquare can't even communicate it's own deals to its own customers.

Had a bit of brain freeze today. Went to debenhams with Mrs MT armed with four out of our five cards to get the 50/25 offer on some gift cards.

Unfortunately We got the cards/ foursquare accounts mixed up and managed to load to card the wrong accounts!

So two of the transactions were loaded before the transactions and worked fine (with notifications) and two were loaded AFTER the transactions had took place. Now we have not had a notification for these!

Now when the argos promotion was running last Summer, Mrs MT forgot to load the card and made the purchase. I loaded it at home many hour later, and we still got the cash back.

My fingers are crossed that it is going to go through! Anyone else done the same recently and still got the credit?

If they were after, you would not get the notification but they will come through just fine. The authorisation prompts the notification but the actual posting to the account processes the credit onto the account.

Thanks for that reassurance! I knew it had worked fine before when I did the Argos one, but I couldn't remember if I had got a notification through when I did eventually load to card. Obviously I hadn't!!!!

Do what I do and just load the offers to every single card at home when the offers come up. Peace of mind then.

That i usually do, but we just happened to be in town today and remembered the Debenhams offer.

I blame Mrs MT as she was getting tetchy waiting for the offers to load to the card and her moaning caused me to mix up the cards/4Square accounts!!

Did they have other shop's gift cards in Debenhams, know they used to but not been for a while. Planning a trip for tomorrow. TIA
