As above, gift cards are fine at any retailer if that's what you're asking.

Can anyone confirm whether Debenhams or Fenwick sell gift cards for other retailers? I don't have a Fenwick near me so can't check.

I'm sure Debenhams sell other retailer gift cards, not sure about Fenwicks. HTH

Fenwicks dont sell any other retailers cards.

I've heard that there will definitely be one more before the 15th March for another nationwide retailer and possibly two more after 15th... :T

In addition, gift cards for Debenhams when used online can only be used for full payment of goods. You can't use more than one payment method on their website, so when paying with a gift card the amount on the gift card has to cover the total cost of your purchase.

They can be used for full or part payment when used in store.

Debenhams plus website: http://www.debenhamsplus.com says:-

Please note: To place an order on Debenhams Plus using a Debenhams Giftcard, you must place your order over the telephone. Unfortunately we cannot accept Debenhams store cards.

In terms and conditions it says gift card can only be used over the phone as part of full payment.

I am interested in purchasing a laptop. If I used my 5x Amex cards that will save me £125.

How do people find these offers? The Amex site is next to useless and there's no "one stop shop" to find out what offers are current etc. Pretty poor IMO.
