postage charge increased after I paid on ebay

  • Even more important than the negative is the DSR stars you leave. It is these that e-bay use to decide if a seller is a fit person to be selling. I would leave two stars for postage and also communication.
  • Thank you, I was thinking along the same lines, although communication was good on the part of the buyer - just not what I wanted to read! I know I was foolish to pay the extra but it was something that is quite hard to find and it was really cheap - which is probably what hacked them off in the first place "you are getting £30 worth of goods for 99p" well, hardly my fault I was the only bidder and they set the starting bid so low.
It was bullying tactics they were using so yes I will definitely not pay up if that happens again.

Why 2? Surely for something like this it would be 1?

A 2 or a 1 won't matter, they are both classed as low scores. I tend to take a more 'granular' approach and judge whether the seller needs a warning shot as a newbie or should know better. A 3 might be appropriate for the former, but for the latter a 1 all the way.
