Fed up.

haven't been with my employer very long. I have been bullied on 3 different instances.. I don't think my employer believes me. Im the only female within the company and my employer believes the lads :/

What can i do?

    Called about the way I look, told i couldnt do my job, been swore at, they wouldnt help me find the name of a fabric today so couldnt place a order.
  • Take them to a tribunal, that's what everyone does these days isn't it?

    Having worked in male dominated environments, I do agree with the above. They do tend to be heavy on banter, taking the mick out of each other, and if you want to succeed there you do need to make yourself one of the lads.

    Clearly there are boundaries to the above, and you need to work out whether they have crossed the line. From what you have said I don't think they have, as the apprentice they will try to wind you up a bit. If you do, I would question whether this is the job for you - if they have to modify their behaviour solely because of you, you will not be popular.

    How old are you OP? You sound a little young. This sounds to me like a bit of work banter and you are only making it worse for yourself by not joining in and trying to play the discrimination card. Have you tried telling the lads to behave before you run to the boss?
