Broadband Low Speed Required

My mother has a BT phone line and I just purchased her a laptop and now need a cheap broadband deal.
I searched on line and most of the deals focus on high speed deals, my mother does not need 20MB for £15 per month. 1MB will do.
Can anyone please point me toward any appropriate deals.

Since broadband is exchange specific, start with an exchange search on www.samknows.com for her LLU options.
For a budget non-LLU package, Plusnet Value is hard to beat on a Market 2 or 3 exchange, only £6.49 and a 10GB cap. But much more expensive on Market 1.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Only ones she could go with is something like the lowest package that Sky does, but as Macman said, search to see what's available first.

Or (I can't believe I'm saying this) TT's Essentials tariff, if she doesn't mind switching the line rental and calls as well.
Obviously with the proviso that it's available LLU.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thank you everyone.
W5 4SG is the postcode.
Does not want to switch line rental, just wants stand alone broadband.0 -

Plenty of LLU options on the Ealing exchange. However if she does not want to switch line rental then I would look at Plusnet as above, since it's a Market 3 exchange. No free lunch, and no free laptop

A word of warning on quoted download speeds. If you get (say) a 16mbs deal the maximum possible speed that you will get is just over 14mbs - that speed will decrease as your distance from the exchange increases. These factors are controlled by the Laws of Physics !
However it it quite possible/likely that you will get MUCH lower speeds than that at times (usually at weekends/evenings).
I have just moved from one ISP's 16mbs package because at times it was so slow that it was unusable.
I am now on a high speed package which at full speed is far more than I need - in fact, is far more than most sites can download at - but I can now use it 24 hrs a day without any problems.0
