Is it worth contacting Debt Recovery Plus Ltd to explain why my husband isn't liable, or should we just continue to ignore, ignore, ignore?

You are mistaking them for a company that gives a f*ck - All these guys are after is money and they don't care how low they stoop to get it.

All contacting them will do is make them assume you take the threats seriously so prolonging the attempts to scam you - Ignoring makes them give-up soonest. :)
  • I know of someone who challenged DR+ to follow through with their threats and take him to court. They never did. They just sent him more pathetic letters pretending to be another company called Zenith Collections.

Following my advice he has ignored these and he has heard nothing from them for months.

Ignore them. They are just a bunch of scum sucking parasites.

Thank you so much, I guess these letters are just designed to scare people into paying.

Ignore, you should just be playing snap with the letters by now, seeing as we have pictures of them all in the 5th thread down 'PPC letter chains'. Have you not read that sticky thread yet and looked at the letter previews?

And see this for a laugh once it moves on the the 'Zenith' headed notepaper:

Honestly you are overanalysing a scam. Really, ignore means ignore!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
