Wanting to transfer from talk talk to sky

Hello!
New to the forum so be gentle with me
My mum wants to transfer her broadband from TalkTalk to Sky, she phoned up Sky to make all the arrangements and they were very helpful with this.
Unfortunately Talk Talk isn't happy. My mum has been with them probably over 2 years and as far as I can understand she's not in the initial contract limitations.
This is what they said:
We've received a request to transfer your TalkTalk services to another provider. We are treating this as notice that you would like to disconnect your TalkTalk account.
Disconnection fees and termination of your services
If your phone and broadband services are being disconnected within the minimum contract period set out in your agreement with TalkTalk, you may be liable for a termination charge of up to £171 for the balance of your contract, as outlined in section 10 of your terms and conditions.
If you haven't agreed to move to another supplier or you have changed your mind, it's important that you contact us today on 0870 087 8030* (free from your TalkTalk line).
If you don't contact us your service will be disconnected. You may lose your existing telephone number and any other money saving products on your account.
Outstanding charges
If you do transfer your services to another provider, you may receive up to two further bills from TalkTalk. One will be for your current months service and the other will be a final bill for any outstanding charges.
If you have any queries about your final bills, please call us on 0870 087 8030 and one of our advisors will be happy to help.
We're sorry you want to leave TalkTalk, if there's anything we can do please don't hesitate to give us a call.
Yours sincerely,
I have a feeling it's a standard email they send out but any help and feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it's a standard letter. if she's used a MAC and is not in minimum term (she needs to check this though, she may have changed her package in those two years, which might start her on a new minimum term) then no charges should apply. If she didn't use a MAC, then TT may levy a disconnect charge of about £30.
LLU to LLU transfers are not always possible, so keep up posted on whether Sky are able to do this transfer direct. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hi Finch,
If the account holder contacts us via twitter @TalkTalkCare or joins the TalkTalk Members Forum we can confirm if the account is out of the minimum contract term and if applicable any amounts for early cessation fees.
