Hi all just have to have a rant about storage heaters, Who invented these eyesores? They are expensive, they give all the heat in the morning by the time evening comes they are cold and yes i do know how to use them ive lived with them for 7 years(we live in council property} When they are on they play havoc with my asthma, and ive tried leaving bowls of water on them which dosent work. We have mould in the frontroom and downstairs toilet and a bit in my sons room.not sure if the mould has anything to do with the heaters, the council installed a dehumidifyer which has just broken(never worked properly anyway).

But in an all-electric house, they're about one third of the cost of convectors on a single rate tariff. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Why are you using bowls of water (humidifying the house) then using a dehumidifier to remove that water?debbieblueeyes wrote: »Hi all just have to have a rant about storage heaters, Who invented these eyesores?
