Just found this thread and would love to join. I had been paying into a DMP since 2009 then mid last year I had the opportunity to make full and finals on a significant portion, which I did leaving me with a small amount of manageable debt in comparison including the Hellifax who never would accept the DMP or my financial difficulties.
So I came out of the DMP and have been paying ever since but I've also lost a bit of focus so think this thread could help.
I don't want to pay all my remaining debt in 2012 but a significant portion.

I also need to update my signature later.

Therefore, please can I join and set my target at £4000
Faced up to debts April 2009: £43099:eek:
    31/12/2013 £3516.66 91.5% paid

    Hello everyone,

I made a payment today which now brings my total to £38/£620.

It's Payday tomorrow so hoping I am hoping to take a big chunk off my total. It's been a long month this month .

This might sound like a silly question but do you count your minimum payments or just any additional payments on top? :o

Hey guys. Today the money from my dad's estate has been transferred to my bank account. As I am able to arrange an interest free balance transfer, my original intention had been to do this and clear the debt myself (I hadn't wanted to feel that I'd used dad's money to bail myself out). However, today I've decided that I will actually clear the debt after all and instead focus on saving. So my first target to be to save the same as I currently owe by the end of the year, my next target will be to save the £6k that he had so kindly loaned me just a few months ago as the my half of the deposit for our first home. In my head I feel that I need to acknowledge the 'loans' and pay them back, even though he's no longer here to give the money to. He worked so hard to leave my sisters and I a decent inheritance, so this seems a reasonable way for me to achieve this little bit of closure without staying in unnecessary debt. I've also got my other little challenges I'm doing here on the MSE forum, not to mention a lot of commitments in general life as I do things like continue to clear out the remaining items from his house & get it decorated up & in a condition suitable for my sister & I to rent out (not only am I the eldest, but my sister lives in London so the majority of the responsibility has rested on my shoulders).

So my last entry for this challenge is going to be:

    No 101: £1805/£1805

Thanks to everyone for letting me join you over the last 13 months. I'll still be trolling every now and again, but hope I don't have to return as an active member lol. Good luck to everyone with any of the challenges you're signed up to!
