    Morning all,

brrrr chilly here this morning, got the fire on for 10 mins, got the first of 2 washes on the go, will try and get them on the line.

Need to go to the post office and post 2 parcels, still waiting for one to pay.

Dinner tonight will be brisket, yum I love brisket, will do some yorkies, roasts and loads of veg too.

Dropping dd at work this morning, then home for a quick tidy through, then into the office, I have a bit to catch up on there.

Managed to get the lawn done yesterday, it was hard going as it was so long, and still wet, but its done now, hopefully that will be it for winter.

Ok better get on, have good days all xx
  • Morning all,

Had a lovely weekend with DH sorting out winter housing for the cows and sheep. Ewe's come in doors this month as due to start lambing at the end of the month.

Hm burgers on friday went down well with dh's friends as they came over for a beer and ended up finishing off what was left for our lunch.

Yesterday was roast chicken with all the trimmings. Dh has requested chicken and stuffing sandwiches for tea this evening so an easy one when i finally get home.

My darling nan has asked me to help her later to start up a Book of Faces page, so she can keep track of my cousins and brother, think she means FaceBook. Got to love her. :o

((((((Hugs))))))) to those that are in need of them.

HH and nmlc - oh dear, sounds like you both had dramatic meals. Hope all is ok x

I was soo hot last night, heating went off around 8pm and I had the window open. Still have the summer quilt on too. Strange!

I have the week off :j:j I kinda forgot after all the fuss on Friday re my operation being postponed. I don't have any plans other than for tomorrow, I'm just going to take the time to relax and potter mainly.

Today I'm going shopping in the town further west of here. It's bigger than here, and has lots of little crafty/vintagey style shops. I want to try and get a baby present for my friend for tomorrow, and one of the shops makes lovely stuff. I may even start the dreaded xmas shopping too.

I didn't get round to make the veggie roast yesterday, wasn't hungry enough, so I will make it tonight I think. Veg is ready prepped so won't take too long.

Shock at Strictly last night, neither should have been in dance off! And loved I'm a Celeb too, methinks that Nadine and Helen will be doing lots of trials! :rotfl:

OS wise - laundry to go away, roast dinner to make, will bake cake too

    Have a good day all

    Morning all,

Slept fairly well. Have decided to stop my BP pills and water tablets. I was so upset Saturday night. I was so swollen up and felt really ill. B****y doctors and their pills. I had high BP two years ago and didn't know it then, so I don't care now. Going back tovitamins and work for me.:o
DD, SIL and DGD came for lunch yesterday. lovely afternoon, but really tired when they had all gone.:)

Was supposed to be going to Eastbourne today with a friend, but she has just phoned and her DGD is sick, so she is having her today instead of mum, so bit disappointed, but ce la vie....

Hester -Sorry to hear about the buffet. Hope foster child is okay.

Made Cauliflower soup with the stalks and leaves yesterday, really nice!:T

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all,

Oh dear Hester, sorry to hear about the buffet. How awful for you. What a nightmare!

Typical Monday morning for me except that ive got a bit of a sore throat.

Questions for me to think of today such as:

How come when i asked for a halogen oven, i got another microwave instead?

How come we had to sleep on Saturday night with the window wide open because hubby was too hot. I wouldnt mind but there was ice on the ground when i woke up. No wonder ive got a sore throat this morning.

How come the world is round? Well i am thinking this question will be easier to answer than the previous two.

Anyway, i am counting my blessings (in a round about way).

Hilstep my BP pills cause me to swell up too. Mainly the lower half of my body (my ankles and knees mainly). The doc has put me on the highest dose duretic but i still get swelling and pain in my knees. Ive tried so many combinations of BP tablet i have finally found one that is working so i am sticking to swollen ankles and knees. I tried not taking my BP tablets once. Never again. My BP was through the roof. Please go and see your doctor. I'd rather have swollen legs than a stroke. I feel your pain though.

    Have a great day all,

    Good Morning everybody,

Pouring down with rain this morning,Leodog had to have a good dry off with atowel when we got in.Dark & dismal too.
    Moorhen,posivibes to you.
    HH-hope things are ok
    nmlc-how awful
Julie-I like going to bents garden centre too,its fab.
Did a bit more on the decorating front yesterday morning, downed tools while we watched the Remembrance Day parade with a lump in my throat.(Shame on the footballers BB)

My Gran had 2 brothers killed in the 1st WW,and another served in both WWars.I'm ashamed to say that when we were young & he used to talk about it,we didnt really listen :(.(Sorry Uncle Bert)Its only later you realise the impact it had throughout his life.Because I do my family history,I ended up with a suitcase full of photos and stuff from my Grans. Her brother died before she did and she did his house clearance after,so a lot of newspaper cuttings, his medals, postcards home etc are in the case too.I was looking at them last week.Really they need to be kept better than in an old suitcase.

Finally made it up to my old school friends, the one who moved back to Lancashire after living over the Pennines for 30 yrs.Had a nice drive there, but it was dark coming back.Nice spot they've chosen, field of sheep at the front of them, seem very happy and settled already.

I'm going to make jamies lamb meatballs for tea for 3 of us.College night for DS2 so he'll eat later, but we are off to my brothers after tea as DNiece is 9 today.DS1 is down in the dumps as he and GF have split up again. She is nice but I think she uses him a bit, when it suits her.He thinks the world of her,but says she has been let down in the past and she finds it hard to trust.

Ah well, better stir my stumps and go and change the bedding:rotfl:
    Have good days all x

    Morning (just) all.
So sorry to hear about the stressful meals out 2 posters had. Hope all ok with foster son.
On a much smaller scale some little s*d wrenched my rear windscreen wiper on Friday night. Can't be repaired so it's a whole new unit. Haven't they got anything better to do with their time than wreck other peopl'es stuff?
Apart from that it was a great weekend and very relaxing. Today's a bit busier with work to do, car booked in for repair, phone calls to son's psychologist (never a quick job!) to make, food shopping needed and in theory a trip out to my local textile art group tonight. but if I'm too tired I won't go but will slob on the sofa instead!
Lunch will be HM vegetable soup and bread and dinner pork, baked potatoes and veg.
Good wishes to all who are struggling with anything at the moment.

DH cut my hair yesterday, saving me £35 and getting rid of the rat-tails which have grown since May.

Now why didn't I think of getting DH to cut mine

Though lots of people in work have told me it looks nice, it's still driving me mad as I can't tie it back. I need to buy some clips on the way home.

Tiglath, I love your decluttering signature. Do you set yourself a target every month?
