DS2 still very spotty and itchy...been to Boots for calamine...no we dont advice that anymore...£9 later for the new cream:eek::eek::eek:...could have cried as we are majorly broke but poor boy needs it xx

Lovely to see all the oldies and newbies posting xx

You are behind the times! Calamine actually makes them itch more as it dries te spots far too quickly.. piriton help with itching and keeping them cool does too.. lots of baths with oats and slap on aqueous cream to keep them moisturised so they don't itch so much.

Hi thanks for all the warm wishes, I think perhaps I've confused you all, but it's next tuesday, not this Tuesday. :O sorry

I've had a look in the washer drawer and it's fine. I only put vinegar in it anyway. So I cleaned the sofas instead.

Early start at work tomorrow, so going for a shower when I've hung the washing up...

    Evening all

    delurking....:o

Honey Bear - I have a Bissell prowash carpet shampooer - It leaves the carpets very nearly dry and I have no problem getting them dry over the winter with the window open and heating on for a couple of hours.

I've always bought reconditioned ones from the bissell website - Only just bought the second last year, and its just as good.

bisselldirect.co.uk/reconditioned (I dont have any connection to the company)

They are easy to use - you just push them up and down like a vacuum cleaner, so no heavy scrubbing to be done. The more you go over the damp carpet, the more water is sucked out leaving them very nearly dry. I use very hot water in mine with the shampoo mix (a special one for pet accidents from Bissell, though pricy!) as the carpets are all able to withstand the heat. Very easy indeed and Ive always had great results myself

HTH, and hoping your doggy keeps doing better - it's very hard and sad as they get old and unwell, thinking of you.
