Dusty you are an inspiration!! And all the fly ladies - so much better at this than me!!
Really want to get through this this week. As usual washing and ironing building up. Seriously considering outsourcing it - but seems such a waste of money!! Work clothes are the worst.
Okay - I must stay motivated - goal calm organised Christmas with no panics over inlaws opening a cupboard or drawer!0 -
Thanks for the lists ladies - you are a godsend!
I'm in again for this week. I usually get off to a good start on a Monday, but then work gets in the way for the rest of the week, however, by doing little and often over the last few months, housework is nowhere near as suffocating as it used to be. Jobs that used to be an effort each day - wiping condensation from windows, cleaning the loo etc., are now just a habit and part of the morning routine, so a huge thank you to all who provide lists :T

!
I used to have build-up until my old 6kg WM packed up and I replaced it with a 9kg one - what a revelation! I have literally halved my washing from about 8/9 loads per week to 4/5.
Some weeks I don't have enough whites, so I strip all 3 beds (1 KS and 2 Doubles) right down to the mattress and pillow protectors and take down the shower curtain to make up a load, and then get all the covers into the next load. Within a couple of hours, 3 rooms get crossed off the weekly lists and I feel like I'm doing higher levels of cleaning with only a small amount of effort on my part.
Last week I ordered an 8kg TD as the old 6kg was wasn't coping very well and this again has stopped my washing backing-up all over the worktops waiting for its turn in the dryer.
As for ironing, what's that? :rotfl: New TD has sorted out all the creases too.
I know it's a massive outlay (I was lucky as I used some inheritance I received last year, otherwise I could not possibly have done it), but perhaps it is something to think about for yourself. The feeling of not being overwhelmed with washing everywhere is rather nice:D:

'Dog' thanks everyone for their kind thoughts - and ate her antibiotic pill and Propalin syrup to show how grateful she is without any fuss at all after several days of being very diffcult. She finally declutttered something with a shape this evening, so might have turned a corner at long last. (As I type she's washing her nethers, so I think we can safely say she's feeling much, much better.) Thank you everyone.
I'll be decluttering OH on the London train tomorrow morning for the week, before going to the laundrette followed by restarting frog genocide(s). All of that is dependant on Dog not needing detailed care and attention at 5.45am again for several hours.Better is good enough.0 -
Morning all, I'm in again. Thanks for the listy. Hugs to all who need them.Spend less now, work less later.0

Morning all
Woke up early with a start. DS1 made himself late for work so I have dropped him down with a flea in his ear.
Going to start morning routine now.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I really ought to get up... Kids are still tucked up... One of us is going to have to budge soon...Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Good morning, all
Thank you for the list, Dusty. You have put on it several things that I had already earmarked as necessary this week:
Sweep and mop the floor (I didn't do it last week)
Wipe the work surfaces - what you can see (can see quite a lot of them, but I've been making Christmas puds...)
Check who has a birthday this week or next and get organised (5 birthday cards needed within the next fortnight, plus one belated, and it's DS1's birthday next week)
Empty and clean out your bins (does anybody else hate the food waste bins that don't fit into the cupboard under the sink with all the other bins - compost, paper/card/foil recycling, general packaging - that are already there?)
I haven't done a lot of proper flying recently, so the whole house needs a good clean this week and next, before our wedding anniversary
However, today I must start by finishing off a long letter to my colleague about our next project. After that there are eB@y parcels to pack up and post, bulbs to plant (still!!!) and Christmas puds to cook.
Am I procrastinating with the real flying? :rotfl:
Hope everyone's week starts well.0
