Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Link to last week's thread

There are 3 levels per day with Level 1 being very basic, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. Feel free to mix and match to suit your own personal circumstances.

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Ok here goes this week!

Monday - kitchen and dining room
Level One

Sweep and mop the floor
Level Two
Wipe the work surfaces - what you can see
Check who has a birthday this week or next and get organised
Wipe out the fridge and check the drain hole
Level three
Clean the washing machine drawer
Empty and clean out your bins
Polish the table

Extras
Do you really need all that Tuperware? Even the ones with the missing lids?
Find the Christmas tablecloths and napkins etc
HHI

Tuesday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs, downstairs loo
Level One

Vacuum through the living room, hall and stairs
Level Two
Dust Electricals
Clean underneath or behind something if you can
Clean the downstairs loo and basin
Level Three
Wipe door frames/picture rails
15 minutes on a hotspot
Spot clean rugs or carpet - bar of plain white soap and hot water works well on mine.

Extras
Get your car ready for winter, check scrapper, deicer, water, chocolate, shovel blankets for bad weather.
Do one thing for Christmas

Wednesday - Master Bedroom and Landing
Level One

Hoover the landing and bedroom
Level Two
Hoover and turn the mattress if possible
Dust any pictures/photos
15 minutes of exercise or meditation, or just pondering
Level Three
Clean any shoes or boots which need it
Finish any outstanding jobs on your lists
Change the bedding

Extras
Feed house plants if neglected
Get your woolies out, check they have not been chewed and debobble ready to wear

Thursday - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Level One

Clean floors in these rooms
Level Two
Clean baths, sinks and toilets
Clear any clutter from desk
Give the desk a good wipe/dust
Level Three
Run a virus check on the pc
Wash towels, t-towels, flannels etc
Wipe window ledges

Extras
Give any bath toys a good sort and put them through the DW, bin any yucky ones
Sort through all the pots of pens and pencils, test they work (kids can help) and bin any that don’t, sharpen any pencils that need it.

Friday – End of week roundup
Level One

HH putting stuff away
Level Two
Hoover floor any floors not done this week or those that need redoing
HHme time
Change a child’s bed
Level Three
Empty all the bins
Make space for storing any extra food supplies etc for christmas
Do a job from your own list

Extras:
Despite the promises decades ago that we were heading for a paperless world it doesn’t seem to have arrived! So declutter paperwork, from files, intrays, magazines etc. Do you still have the receipts from last Christmas stuffed in a drawer? Leaflets for places you will never visit; recipes you will never make get rid of it all.
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair

Shall be in from Thursday, as per. Many thanks.

(I already sorted all my plastics when I got my new kitchen! *glow*)
And Christmas isn't here so I don't need the cloths; though DD does want to invite Grandparents round for Christmas Eve, with nice food.

    Evening ladies

A big thank you to Juliejim (and Dusty)for keeping the thread going as long as it has and thanks to Dusty for continuing until more vounteers can come forward. I wish I could offer but I dont even manage to get in every week let alone every day so apologies but I sincerely do appreciate its support and I would miss the friendship of all you lovely ladies.

Thanks Dusty for the note of the book and Rowan tree for your comments, I will try and look it out. I used to get the migraines prior to AF but they have shifted to afterwards now but as they are so regular they have to be hormonal.

Big hugs Bossymoo for next Tues, I can understand how very difficult it will be for you. You have had amazing strength of character since we have 'known'you and I am sure that I will not be the only flylady supporting you virtually next week.

Honeybear it must be so hard to see your hound going downhill and I feel for you, I would struggle to see my pooch so poorly. Glad she still enjoys her walk.

    Right this week.

I will make attempts to be in but I have to compile a job application for a promotion that would make a huge difference to our income if I get it especially as we will lose DH's income in January when he retires. I know I am capable of doing the job but I dont have the qualifications required but I do have loads of experience in about 75% of the job role so I am realistic about my chances. Just have to get the application right so will need a lot of work!

DH is working 3 days this week so I will see if I can persuade him to do something indirectly from the list and I will do what I can too.

Oh and we had a fantastic time at the dinner last night :D

TTFN as I have to apply for my shopping vouchers that I should have done last week as we need them for a trip to MK next Saturday ETA Aaaaaaaaaagh I cant remember my login to the site and Ihave £300 sat in the account.

    Love and Huggles to all
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Thanks for the thread, Dusty. I'm in again, albeit on slightly odd days. (Shower room and bathroom done today, main bedroom cleaned properly, four beds stripped and remade, washing sorted to take to the laundrette tomorrow and loaded into the car - the boot is crammed full with two weeks worth!)

Dog has had her 7.30 pm walk and eaten half a chicken breast. Now to persuade her she really does want an antibiotic and some Propalin so I don't end up with soggy carpet again .... I've passed on everyone's good wishes and get well vibes to her - she looks quite perky. Thank you.

    Hi

I'm in thanks for the lists DK, hugs to JulieJim and froddington.
kiddies trashed the lovely playroom lol, so I've had a quick tidy in there and put washing away once I'd got them to bed. So everything is clear, nursery bags aNd clothes at the ready.
I am wfh tomorrow, so will do my flying at lunch break.

We went to the "special lives" service at church tonight. I did really well. DS didn't want to go as he associates church with me being upset, so I managed to prove him wrong. They read names out (mispronounced our surname) and we lit candles. It was nice, although only a dozen or so in the congregation.

Anyway, tis done and DS has a christingle collection 'tin' so he is happy.

Am bushed! No more for me tonight. X

P.S. thankyou honey bear I will try the bio laundry stuff of the rug

In again :p !! I know i am not a great contributor to the thread but I am so thankful to everyone on here for the help and support. Things are going to get interesting here as hubby back at work and I had a call out of the blue last week offering me my old job back. I left due to bad health but they want me back and I am feeling a lot better, so back in to work I go. For the first time in forever, we will have 2 wages coming in and no childcare to pay.
